actually i gotta admit it, i really like Tribe of Shem. thank u timschell ;D yesgurlz! was consensed upon only as a temporary name until we found the one that fits.

i really like WhoWeAre too, but i'm thinking that that name is more appropraie for an ouder of nuns i want to found which will probably be called the Siblings of WhoWeAre maybe spelled HOOWEEYAR

yesgurlz! is a fun and silly name and when it popped up i laughed harder and longer than i have in a long while, but many of us were trippin on it and we just couldn't stop giggling.

i would prefer a name that doesn't need to mention "gender' or "sister" or "inclusive" or any of that. i think the gender inclusion is a given, it should be so taken for granted that we don't need to wear it on our fuckin sleaves. so any name without explicit reference to gender is one that will get my vote.

we don't need to perpetuate the battles over gender. we don't have time for that shit. our situation is serious. and we don't have to "believe" in an upcoming apocalypes or world war three to recognize that being off the grid, growing our own organic food, and providing for our material needs without relying on capitalism is a really good idea these days.

we gotta focus more energy on sustainability and creating self-sufficient culture. all genders are welcome. all races. all classes cause those distinctions are gonna be finally left behind. i think it's possible for us to create and maintain a culture of true egalitarianism. one where we confront and get over our sexism, our racism, our classism, our homophobia and create a culture where those isms are all relics of the past. it's hard work but it sees like we have the commitment and the honesty to face all that and work it out (sorry i'm still hung up on that phrase)

i want a name that reflects all that. not one which just calls attention to which side we're on in the gender wars.
